Browser storage · Version storage-v1Effective: 16 October 2026

What this website remembers

Some website features need your browser to remember a small amount of information. A cookie is one way to do that. Local storage saves information in your browser, while an offline cache can keep copies of public files so that a visited page or fallback remains useful when your connection drops.

You can read PinkVita's educational content without giving us contact details. This release does not enable advertising tracking or optional visitor journey analytics.

The records used by this release

PurposeWhat it containsHow long it stays
Learning progressChapter identifiers and an update dateUntil cleared, or removed on the next visit after 180 days without an update
Website preferencesYour saved experience choices, such as reduced motion, and an update dateUntil changed or cleared, or removed on the next visit after 180 days without an update
Offline supportCopies of selected public pages, icons and other public filesUntil a version update, browser removal or clearing of site data
Essential securityInformation used by hosting/security services to protect requestsDepends on the relevant security mechanism and provider settings
Editor authenticationSign-in state for authorized staff using the content editor, separate from reader featuresThe site's temporary OAuth verification record lasts up to ten minutes; GitHub/Decap sign-in records follow their actual session, sign-out and revocation behaviour

Quiz answers, result codes, contact-form contents and receipt pages are not added to the learning-progress or offline records. A queued contact request is handled by the delivery system described in our Privacy notice, not by silently saving a form for background submission in your browser.

Your controls

Use Preferences to change supported experience choices and clear learning progress. Your browser's site-data controls can remove other saved information and offline copies. Clearing it may remove your place in the learning journey, but the public lessons remain available.

The website respects supported system reduced-motion settings. Blocking browser storage may prevent progress or preferences from being remembered; it should not prevent you from reading the educational pages.

Authorized editors should sign out after using the content manager, especially on a shared device. GitHub provides controls for reviewing and revoking an application's access. Ordinary readers do not need a GitHub account.

If optional analytics or other new storage purposes are introduced, we will explain them and provide the relevant controls before enabling them where required. Questions can be sent to privacy@pinkvita.in.
